 S&S®X117 X-Wedge Engines
• This next generation V-Twins is a departure from the traditional S&S® engine design
• This is not a replace- ment engine, but is intended for use in custom builds and for custom O.E. manufacturers
• In order to meet the needs of these applications, the X- Wedge engine not only makes power and looks great, it also meets 2008 C.A.R.B. and 2010 EPA omissions standards.
• 56" pushrod v-Twin with 3 belt driven cams in a unique configuration that provides nearly straight pushrod angles to all valves
• In the lower end, a 1-piece forged crackshaft with plain bearing connecting rods and plain main bearings offers greater load capacity and increased engine durability and reduced noise
• Cylinder heads were designed with automotive style low mass rocker arms and a unique cross-Row wedge style combustion chamber
• Fuel system consists of a single bore throttle body with the S&S® Variable Fuel Injection module, which boasts dual closed loop feedback for fuel control and a knock sensing ignition.
• Initially offered in 117" dispacement but was designed to accomodate displacement of 110" to 139"
